Sister taxon: Chlororhysis incomptus

Type specimen: U.S.N.M. No. 21901, a mandible (left ramus of mandible with C-P4, inclusive). Its type locality is La Barge, which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial mudstone in the Wasatch Formation of Wyoming.

Distribution: found only at La Barge
