Type specimen: CIT 478, a partial skull (an anterior portion of a skull with superior teeth represented, except the incisors and first premolars.). Its type locality is Thousand Creek Formation, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in the Thousand Creek Formation of Nevada.

• Hemphillian of United States (2: Nevada, Oregon collections)

• Miocene of United States (1: Oregon)
