Sister taxon: Machaeroides eothen

Type specimen: CM 45115, a partial skull (fragments of a skull includin4 parts of the palate, with incisors, canines, right P1-M2 and left P4-M2). Its type locality is K-7W, which is in a Lostcabinian terrestrial horizon in the Wind River Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution:

• Eocene of United States (3: Wyoming collections)

Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
