Sister taxa: Plagioctenodon dormaalensis, Plagioctenodon goliath, Plagioctenodon krausae, Plagioctenodon rosei, Plagioctenodon savagei, Plagioctenodon thewisseni
Type specimen: CM 70754, an other (associated left maxilla (P2, P4-M1), left dentary (i2-m3), right astragalus and right hallucal metatarsal). Its type locality is Big Multi Locality, which is in a Clarkforkian floodplain mudstone in the Fort Union Formation of Wyoming.
Ecology: scansorial insectivore
Distribution: found only at Big Multi Locality
