Type specimen: IGM 5145 (= LACMIP plastoholotype 8851). Its type locality is CSUN Loc. 1291a [Bateque Fm], which is in a Ypresian transition zone/lower shoreface sandstone/limestone in the Bateque Formation of Mexico.
Ecology: stationary intermediate-level epifaunal microcarnivore-photosymbiotic
