  • Mesogaulus paniensis: Its type locality is Courthouse Butte, which is in a Hemingfordian terrestrial horizon in the Pawnee Creek Formation of Colorado
  • Mesogaulus praecursor: Its type locality is Agate (4 Miles N), which is in a Harrisonian terrestrial horizon in the Marsland Formation of Nebraska.
