Sister taxon: Neotragocerus lindgreni
Type specimen: AMNH 14141, a partial skull (complete horn-core). Its type locality is ZX Bar, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in the Snake Creek Formation of Nebraska.
Ecology: ground dwelling grazer-browser
Distribution:
• Hemphillian of United States (3: Nebraska collections)
Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
