Type specimen: MCZ 2878, a mandible. Its type locality is North Platte River, which is in an Arikareean terrestrial horizon in the Harrison Formation of Wyoming.

• Arikareean of United States (13: Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming collections)

• Oligocene of United States (14: Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming)
