Type specimen: F:AM 27363, a partial skeleton (skull, right ramus, five lumbar vertebrae, pelvis, and partial limbs). Its type locality is Skull Ridge, which is in a Barstovian terrestrial horizon in the Tesuque Formation of New Mexico.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore-omnivore
Distribution:
• Miocene of United States (14: California, Nebraska, New Mexico collections)
Total: 14 collections each including a single occurrence
