Type specimen: YPM 11866, a tooth (LM2). Its type locality is Mammal Quarry No. 1 (UCMP V-5003), which is in a Lancian terrestrial horizon in the Lance Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of Canada (6: Alberta, Saskatchewan collections), Mexico (1), United States (28: Montana, South Dakota, Wyoming)

Total: 35 collections each including a single occurrence
