Sister taxon: Poebrodon californicus

Type specimen: USNM 20393, a maxilla (Left maxillary fragment with M1, M2, and most of M3). Its type locality is Myton Pocket, which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Uinta Formation of Utah.

Ecology: ground dwelling browser-browser

Distribution: found only at Myton Pocket
