Type specimen: SDSM 5574, a mandible (left ramus, with i-m3). Its type locality is Sharps (SDSM V-5362), which is in a Geringian terrestrial horizon in the Sharps Formation of South Dakota.

Ecology: ground dwelling granivore-browser

Distribution:

• Arikareean of United States (1: South Dakota collection)

• Oligocene of United States (3: South Dakota)

Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
