Type specimens:
- Pseudoblastomeryx advena: AMNH 13014, a mandible. Its type locality is AMNH Rosebud 29, which is in a Harrisonian terrestrial horizon in the Rosebud Formation of South Dakota.
- Blastomeryx tantillus: No. HC241, a partial skeleton (part of a left lower jaw with M2M3, two upper molars, and parts of a foot, associated). Its type locality is Agate (3 Miles NE), which is in a Harrisonian terrestrial horizon in the Marsland Formation of Nebraska.
- Pseudoblastomeryx falkenbachi: Its type locality is Eighteen Mile District, which is in a Harrisonian terrestrial horizon in Wyoming.
