Type specimen: UMMP 65414b ("stem with a swollen node bearing a pair of opposite leaves and the terminal dichasium"). Its type locality is Drewrys Bluff, which is in an Aptian fluvial-lacustrine claystone in Virginia.
Distribution: found only at Drewrys Bluff
