Sister taxon: Paleocadmus pohli

Type specimen: FMNH PE 24538, an other (radula). Its type locality is Pit 11, Braidwood, Mazon Creek (Herdina coll), which is in a Westphalian D deltaic mudstone in the Carbondale Formation of Illinois.

Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Pit 11, Braidwood, Mazon Creek (Herdina coll)
