Type specimens:

  • Tinimomys graybulliensis: PU No. 17899, a maxilla (left maxilla fragment with P4-M2). Its type locality is Bone Hill, which is in an Eocene fluvial siliciclastic in the Willwood Formation of Wyoming.
  • Myrmekomomys loomisi: UCM 48544, a mandible (jaw fragment with right M/1-3). Its type locality is Bozeman, which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial horizon in the "Wasatch" Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: arboreal omnivore

Distribution:

• Eocene of United States (16: Wyoming collections)

• Paleocene of United States (2: Wyoming)

Total: 18 collections each including a single occurrence
