Type specimen: PU 11238 and AMNH 2510, a partial skull (Upper molars (PU 11238) and lower jaw (AMNH 2510)). Its type locality is Wagonhound Canyon (Uinta B2), which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Uinta Formation of Utah.
