Belongs to Sinoadapis according to R. Wu and Y. Pan 1985
Sister taxon: Sinoadapis shihuibaensis
Type specimen: PA 885, China, a mandible (left mandible with associated p4-m2 and right mandible with associated m1-m3). Its type locality is Lufeng, which is in a Tortonian fluvial-lacustrine lignite/mudstone in China.
Ecology: arboreal omnivore
Distribution: found only at Lufeng
