Sister taxa: none

Type specimen: AMNH 6629, a partial skeleton (imperfect skull, posterior portions of both rami, and two cervical vertebrae). Its type locality is Ulaan Khongil, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial gravel in the Hsanda Gol Formation of Mongolia.

Ecology: fossorial insectivore

Distribution: found only at Ulaan Khongil
