Sister taxon: Mystriosuchus westphali
Type specimen: MCZ 1018/4361 (= BSNM 7512). Its type locality is Neuhaus, near Aixheim, which is in a Norian floodplain sandstone in the Löwenstein Formation of Germany.

• Triassic of Austria (1 collection), Germany (2), Italy (1)
Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
