Type specimen: USNM 490598a-b, a shell. Its type locality is Big River banks 2.5 kilometers southwest of Irondale, which is in a Dresbachian reef, buildup or bioherm dolomite in the Bonneterre Formation of Missouri.
Ecology: epifaunal grazer
Distribution: found only at Big River banks 2.5 kilometers southwest of Irondale
