Type specimen: AMNH 3826 (incomplete mid-thoracic vertebra). Its type locality is Hyopsodus Hill, which is in a Bridgerian terrestrial horizon in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming.

Distribution: found only at Hyopsodus Hill
