Type specimen: LACM 20877 (=IGM 5307), a partial skeleton. Its type locality is LACM Loc. 7257, Arroyo El Rosario, which is in a Santonian/Campanian terrestrial mudstone in the La Bocana Roja Formation of Mexico.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at LACM Loc. 7257, Arroyo El Rosario
