Sister taxa: Priacodon fruitaensis, Priacodon grandaevus, Priacodon lulli, Priacodon robustus

Type specimen: YPM 606, a mandible (right mandible with P1-3, M1-3 and additional aveoli). Its type locality is Quarry 9, Como Bluff (YPM), which is in a Kimmeridgian/Tithonian fluvial-lacustrine mudstone/sandstone in the Morrison Formation of Wyoming.

Distribution: found only at Quarry 9, Como Bluff (YPM)
