Type specimen: Mus. N. Ariz. G2.554, a shell. Its type locality is Bottomless Pits, Bed 9, Kaibab Formation, Walnut Canyon, which is in a Roadian shallow subtidal limestone in the Kaibab Formation of Arizona.

Ecology: facultatively mobile epifaunal suspension feeder
