Sister taxa: Shelbyoceras bigpineyensis, Shelbyoceras buttsi, Shelbyoceras unguliforme

Type specimen: USNM 92694, a shell. Its type locality is M.S.M. locality 74.51, near Palmer, which is in a Trempealeauan carbonate dolomite in the Eminence Formation of Missouri.

Ecology: epifaunal grazer

Distribution:

• Cambrian of United States (2: Missouri collections)

Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
