Type specimens:

  • Anchisauripus milfordensis: LC S488, a footprint. Its type locality is Smith Clark's quarry, Milford (level B), which is in a Norian terrestrial shale/sandstone in the Passaic Formation of New Jersey.
  • Atreipus acadianus: PU 21713B. Its type locality is Paddy Island tracksite, which is in a Carnian terrestrial sandstone/siltstone in the Wolfville Formation of Canada.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution:

• Triassic of Canada (2: Nova Scotia collections), United States (17: New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia)
