Type specimen: MN 4555-V, 4556, 4558, 4559, 4560, 4562, 4564; UFRJ-DG 58-R/1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,, a set of postcrania. Its type locality is Mata locality, Itapecuru-Mirim, which is in an Aptian/Albian fluvial-deltaic sandstone/mudstone in the Itapecuru Formation of Brazil.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution: found only at Mata locality, Itapecuru-Mirim
