Type specimen: IITR/SB/VLM 771, a mandible (dentary fragment with m2). Its type locality is Vastan Lignite Mine, which is in a Ypresian lagoonal siltstone/claystone in the Cambay Shale Formation of India.

Ecology: arboreal insectivore

Distribution: found only at Vastan Lignite Mine
