Shelania laurenti
Taxonomy
Shelania laurenti was named by Baez and Pugener (1998). Its type specimen is GHUNLPam 4022, a set of vertebrae (fused atlas and second vertebra), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vaca Mahuida Facies IV-US3 (Vertebrates), which is in an Eocene lacustrine sandstone/sandstone in Argentina.
