Alcidedorbignya inopinata
Taxonomy
Alcidedorbignya inopinata was named by de Muizon and Marshall (1992). Its type specimen is YPFB Pal 6121, a maxilla (left maxilla with P4-M3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tiupampa site 1, the “quarry”, which is in a Danian terrestrial horizon in the Santa Lucía Formation of Bolivia. It is the type species of Alcidedorbignya.
