Scylacognathus robustus
Taxonomy
Cynariops robustus was named by Broom (1925). Its type specimen is BMNH R 5743, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Biesjiespoort, Victoria West, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial horizon in South Africa. It is the type species of Cynariops.
It was recombined as Scylacognathus robustus by Sigogneau-Russell (1989).
