Taxonomy
Geiseltaliellus longicaudus was named by Kuhn (1944). It is not extant. Its type specimen is GM 4043, a skeleton. Its type locality is Geiseltal, Ce III, Grube "Cecilie", which is in a Lutetian lacustrine coal in Germany.

Synonyms
  • Geiseltaliellus louisi was named by Auge (1990). It is not extant. Its type locality is Condé-en-Brie, which is in a MP 8 + 9 terrestrial horizon in France.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Geiseltaliellus longicaudus by Augé (2005).
