Teilhardina brandti

Taxonomy
Teilhardina brandti was named by Gingerich (1993). Its type specimen is UM 99031, a tooth (right [lower] M2), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is SC-351, which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial horizon in the Willwood Formation of Wyoming.

It was recombined as Baataromomys brandti by Ni et al. (2007).

P. E. Morse et al. 2019Largest species of Teilhardina, with molar
areas approximately the size of those in Bownomomys. Further differs from all other species of Teilhardina in having the largest P1 alveolar size relative to the crown area of M1, in having a more buccal hypoconulid on M1-2, and in having a fully closed talonid basin on M1-3.
