Platodontopithecus jianghuaiensis
Taxonomy
Platodontopithecus jianghuaiensis was named by Gu and Lin (1983) [lectotype designated by Harrison et al. (1991)]. Its type specimen is IVPP PA 870, a tooth (left [lower] M3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Songlinzhuang, Sihong, Jiangsu, which is in a Burdigalian lacustrine conglomerate in the Xiacaowan Formation of China.
