Taxonomy
Wyomingites was named by Hyatt (1900) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Nm Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Meekoceras aplanatum.

It was assigned to Flemingitinae by Tozer (1981); to Meekoceratidae by Spath (1934), Tozer (1994); to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Dieneroceratidae by Brayard et al. (2013), Đaković et al. (2022).
