Saltospirifer guevarii
Taxonomy
Saltospirifer guevarii was named by Cisterna and Archbold (2007). Its type specimen is IPI 3321, a valve (Ventral valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Del Salto Creek, San Juan Province, which is in a Bashkirian/Moscovian shallow subtidal limestone in the Del Salto Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Saltospirifer.
