Cymbospondylus buchseri
Taxonomy
Cymbospondylus buchseri was named by Sander (1989). Its type specimen is PIMUZ T 4351, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cava Tre Fontane, Tessin collection, Monte San Giorgio, which is in an Illyrian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal dolomite in the Besano Formation of Switzerland.
