Taxonomy
Astartella guangxingensis was named by Liang (1980). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yujiabeigou, Huanggangliang Fm, Guangxing, Keshenketeng, which is in a Wordian marine horizon in the Huanggangliang Formation of China.
