Taxonomy
Archaeotetrix locustopseiformis was named by Sharov (1968). Its type specimen is PIN 1668/1667, a forewing (forewing without small part at apex), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Baissa (PIN collection 1668), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large siltstone/marl in the Zaza Formation of the Russian Federation.
