Hydroptila phileos

Taxonomy
Hydroptila phileos was named by Cockerell (1921). Its type specimen is USNM 66553, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is USGS 17-5; Cathedral Bluffs south of Little Tommies Draw, which is in a Ypresian lacustrine - large shale in the Wasatch Formation of Colorado.
