Taxonomy
Phillipsia ouralica was named by de Verneuil (1845). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kachkabache Mountain, near Artinsk, which is in an Artinskian marine sandstone in the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Brachymetopus (Conimetopus) ouralica by Hahn and Hahn (1985) and Mychko and Savchuk (2019).
