Taxonomy
Proptychites grandis was named by Spath (1935). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cape Stosch, locality 243 (Vishnuites beds), which is in a Griesbachian marine siliciclastic in the Wordie Creek Formation of Greenland.
