Juraphis was named by Shaposhnikov (1979). Its type is Juraphis crassipes. It is the type genus of Juraphididae.
It was assigned to Genaphidae by Shaposhnikov (1979); to Genaphididae by Heie and Wegierek (2011); and to Juraphididae by Żyła et al. (2014) and Liu et al. (2017).
