Eryma americana
Taxonomy
Eryma americana was named by Rathbun (1923). Its type specimen is USNM 31899, a claw, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 4137, Neuse River, 34 2/3 mi above New Bern, which is in a Maastrichtian marine horizon in the Peedee Formation of North Carolina.
It was corrected as Eryma americanum by Schweitzer et al. (2010), Devillez and Charbonnier (2017).
