Taxonomy
Microkhosara fragilis was named by Storozhenko (1993). Its type specimen is PIN 1366/172, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Kityak (PIN collection 1366), which is in a Roadian lacustrine siliciclastic in the Belebeevo Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Microkhosara.
