Xyela (Xyela) latipennis
Taxonomy
Xyela latipennis was named by Statz (1936). Its type specimen is LACMIP 4015, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Rott (Statz Collection), which is in a Chattian lacustrine - small shale in the Rott Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Xyela (Xyela) latipennis by Rasnitsyn (1995) and Taeger et al. (2010).
