Necromyza pedata
Taxonomy
Necromyza pedata was named by Scudder (1895). Its type specimen is Lacoe 6893, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Oeningen (Lacoe collection), which is in a Sarmatian crater lake limestone in the Upper Freshwater-Molasse Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Necromyza.
