Taxonomy
Liothyrella labiata was named by Craig (2001). Its type specimen is WAM 94.61, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nanarup Lime Quarry, which is in a Bartonian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Werillup Formation of Australia.
