Lobachevina vagus was named by Smirnova (2012). Its type specimen is PIN no. 4898/3353 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Burgemak (Unit 10), which is in an Aptian marine sandstone in the Gundara Formation of the Russian Federation.
